CONWAY, S.C. – Fresh off a 1-0 victory over UAB on Tuesday night, the Coastal Carolina men's soccer team welcomes Northern Kentucky to the CCU Soccer Stadium for a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
The Chanticleers hold a 4-4-4 overall record and finished their first season in Conference USA with a 3-1-4 overall conference record. The Norse sit at 6-9-0 overall and have a Horizon League mark of 4-5-0.
In the win over UAB last time out, Coastal logged the first shot of the match as
Nicholas Itopolous' shot went wide in the 13th minute before the Blazers logged the first shot on goal and, freshman goalkeeper
Leon Schmidt recorded his first save of the night in the 15th minute.
Following a scoreless first half, it was
Luc Mikula's first career goal that made the difference for CCU on Tuesday. The freshman connected on a pass from fellow Chant
Alvaro Garcia-Pasqual in the 61st minute to net the game-winner.

- Northern Kentucky currently ranks 33rd in shots on goal per game (6.47), 59th in the nation in total goals (25), 65th in total assists (24), 65th in scoring offense (1.67), 64th in total points (74), 71st in points per game (4.93), and 71st in assists per game (1.60).
- NKU is the reigning Horizon League regular-season champion, winning the league with a 7-1 record versus conference opposition, and was also the Horizon League Championship runner-up last season.
- GK Daniel Bermingham ranked 16th in the country in save percentage (.837) and 33rd in goals-against average (0.748) in 2020. He has 66 saves this year, which ranks 10th. He also ranks 20th in saves per game (4.71) this season.
