CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team continues its four-game home stand by welcoming No. 19-nationally ranked and in-state foe Clemson to the CCU Soccer Stadium for a Tuesday evening matchup. The kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers enter Tuesday's match with an overall record of 2-2-4 and a 1-0-4 mark in Conference USA play. The Tigers enter the matchup 8-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in ACC play.

CCU dropped just its second contest of the season last Tuesday (Sept.28), falling to UNC Greensboro 1-0 with just 22 seconds left of the first overtime period.

A corner kick was all the Spartans needed in the 100th minute as Angel Bacho sent a ball into the box that was blocked before Marco Milanese recovered the loose ball and fired off a shot to give UNCG the golden goal.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
  • The Tigers were ranked as high as No. 2 earlier this season, but after falling in two consecutive matches Clemson dropped to No. 19-nationally.

  • In his 12th season as Clemson's gaffer, Mike Noonan returns nine of his 11 starters from last spring's ACC Champion side, including goalkeeper and captain George Marks as well as three other 2020 All-ACC selections.

  •  After finishing the 2020-21 season 14-3-2 overall (7-3-2 ACC), Clemson found themselves ranked No.6-nationally in the preseason poll. The Tigers fell to C-USA member Marshall 7-6 on penalty kicks in the second round of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.
