Tiffany Arafi is on Fire After Being Ranked 10th in the Nation

Senior has picked up two wins in the four fall events
Tiffany Arafi is a senior on the CCU women's golf team. She is originally from Switzerland and has played golf her whole life.
"My whole family plays golf. They took me on the golf course when I was a baby," said Arafi.
She says she started out with plastic clubs and eventually was given metal ones. Arafi decided to attend school in the United States because it allowed her to continue her golf career. In Switzerland, it is almost impossible to play at a high level while keeping up with your studies.
CCU alumnus, Dustin Johnson, played a huge role in getting Arafi to Coastal Carolina. He is one of her favorite golfers. She says the large number of golf courses in the area drew her in as well.
"There was almost no reason not to come to Coastal," said Arafi.
Arafi has made a name for herself at CCU. Since getting here, she has won many titles and awards while being on the 2018 Dean's List and the 2021 President's List.
It is still hard for Arafi to process that she is ranked No. 10 overall in the nation for collegiate women's golf. When she first found out she was so excited.
"I was super, super happy, and my parents were super happy too," said Arafi.
Arafi shares that practice is how she was able to be ranked 10th. Practice is about being focused and dedicated. They practice with purpose and practice a lot as well.
Being one of the leaders on the team, Arafi tries to be an example for her other teammates.
"Everything I do, I try to put 100 percent into it," said Arafi.
According to Arafi, patience is key to becoming successful. She says as long as you keep putting in the work then you will see an outcome.
