PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team shot a 15-over 299 in Tuesday's second round at the Saint Mary's Invitational. The Chants have a two-day total 584 (285-299) and will enter the final round in 16th place.
Sophomore
Luke Nelson continues to lead the Chants on the course after shooting a three over 74 in today's action. He now has a one-over 143 (69-74) and enters the final round tied for 30th.
Gavin Noble shot a 75 in today's action and has a five-over 147 (72-75) after two rounds. He is tied for 61st heading into Wednesday's action.
Seth Taylor and
Trey Crenshaw are tied at 71st as both stand six-over after the second round. Taylor has his score with a 71-77 scorecard and Crenshaw has shot a 73-75 in the two rounds.
Viktor Olund dropped four strokes off his opening-day score with a four-over 75. He is 96th with a 12-over 154 (79-75).
Holden Grigg continues his action as an individual and stands 101st with a 17-over 159.
Stanford continues to lead the field after the second round with a 19-under 549. Finishing out the top five are Oregon (-12, 556), Nevada (-3, 565), San Francisco (-3, 565), and BYU (-2, 566).
Colorado State is even-par 568 to start six-through-10. Followed by Loyola Marymount (+4, 572), Oregon State (+6, 574), and Santa Clara and San Diego tied for ninth at seven-over 575.
The rest of the field includes Saint Mary's (+8, 576), Washington State (+9, 577), New Mexico (+10, 578), Fresno State (+10, 578), Long Beach State (+13, 581), Coastal Carolina (+16, 584), Northern Illinois (+19, 587), Seattle (+22, 590), and Pacific (+29, 597).
