CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team will travel to San Diego, Calif. for a pair of contests on Saturday, March 27, and Monday, March 29 versus San Diego State and UC Davis. The opening draw for March 27 is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET while the match on March 29 will start at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Coastal enters play this weekend at 6-3 on the season after falling to Campbell at home on Wednesday.
San Diego State is 2-4 on the year, after losing three-straight contests, while UC Davis enters at 5-3 after falling to Arizona State on the road.
CCU and San Diego State have not met before Saturday's contest while Coastal and UC Davis met in 2017 with the Chants winning 11-7.

The Chanticleers have seven players in double digits for points with
Samantha Courtemanche (21 goals, 18 assists, and 39 points) leading the team in goals, assists, and points. Redshirt freshman
Kayla Downey is second with 31 points on 19 goals and 12 assists while true freshman
Monica Manley is third with 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points. Redshirt sophomore
Lauren Cremen is third in goals scored with 18 while junior
Megan Bozzi (12 goals, four assists) has 16 points, graduate student
Abbey Buchanan (nine goals, four assists) has 13 points, and redshirt senior
Megan Busch has 12 points on three goals and nine assists.
Defensively, the Chants are led by redshirt freshman goalkeeper
Claire Martell who has allowed 77 goals while facing 151 shots on goal. She has tallied 74 saves for a .490 save percentage and has earned all six wins on the season. The Verbank, N.Y. native has also caused six turnovers and grabbed up 17 ground balls.
Graduate students
Anya McSorley and
Emily D'Orsaneo aide in the defensive third by causing 17 and 13 turnovers, respectively.
Sarah Trupp, a graduate transfer, has added 11 caused turnovers while scooping up 14 ground balls while D'Orsaneo and McSorley have 21 and 15 ground balls apiece.
ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE
Lexi Tan leads the Aztecs in goals scored with 15 tallies on the season while Emily Resnick leads the team in points on 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points. Bailey Brown is third with 14 points with 12 goals and two assists. Brown gets the offensive attack started by winning 30 draw controls while Resnick and Cailin Young have 12 apiece.
On the San Diego State defensive third, Katy Sharretts has seen the bulk of the action by allowing 105 goals while facing 265 shots. The fifth-year senior goalkeeper has a .444 save percentage while making 84 saves on the year.
Tan and Brown have caused seven turnovers each to lead the defense while grabbing up seven and 10 ground balls, respectively. Resnick is tied for the team lead in ground balls having scooped up 10.
ABOUT UC DAVIS
Sorana Larson leads the Aggies offensive attack with 28 goals and seven assists for 35 points while Maddie Myers is second in points with 24 on 18 goals and six assists. They are aided in the offensive third by Alex Agnew (11 goals, 9 assists), Anna Hofgard (12 goals, 5 assists), Kendall Seifert (15 goals), Kaley Stunz (7 goals, 3 assists), and Kate Graham (6 goals, 4 assists) with 20, 17, 15, 10 and 10 points, respectively.
Graham and Myers get the offense started by winning 41 and 25 draw controls, respectively.
On the defensive end, senior goalkeeper Taylor Mathieson has faced 189 shots allowing just 69 goals for 12.63 goals-against average. The Franklin Lakes, N.J. native has made 59 saves for a .461 save percentage.
Ally Deremer has caused 12 turnovers to lead the Aggies while scooping up 19 ground balls while Mathieson has grabbed up 23 ground balls.
