CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will return to action this week for a match against regional opponent Wofford on Tuesday, April 13, with the first serve scheduled for 2 p.m. ET from the Stevens Tennis Complex.
Fans will be allowed.
Health and safety protocols for attendance will remain in place to include, but not limited to:
- Face coverings WILL BE required.
- Maintain physical and social distancing at all times.
- NO congregating between individuals or groups outside of your affiliated party.
- NO interaction with student-athletes and coaches at any time.
Coastal Carolina University and the Department of Athletics is committed to providing a safe environment for the enjoyment of our patrons that attend our home intercollegiate athletic events. Individuals that disregard health and safety protocols may be asked to leave.
The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 7-7 overall record. The Chants are coming off a 4-1 loss against Sun Belt Conference foe Troy at home on April 11.
Fifth-year senior
Bastien Huon, who missed the last match versus Tory due to an injury, leads the Chants with a 9-4 singles record at the No. 1 spot, while senior
Daiki Tanabe is second on the team in wins with a 7-5 record at the No. 5 position.
Wofford enters the meeting with a 6-9 record on the year after falling to College of Charleston last time out 5-2 on April 10.
Coastal and Wofford have met sixteen times in men's tennis action. The Chants hold a 10-6 advantage against the Terriers. This will also be the first meeting since Feb. 14, 2015, which the Chants won in Conway, S.C. by a score of 6-1.
