CONWAY, S.C. – For the second time this season, the Coastal Carolina men's soccer program will play host to a top-25 nationally-ranked opponent when the No. 22 Chanticleers host No. 9 UNC Wilmington Saturday, April 3 at 6 p.m. ET, at the CCU Soccer Stadium.
The match will be one of the top matchups in the nation as the two nationally-ranked teams will meet in Conway. UNCW (5-0-2) brings an impressive team into Conway that is one of only seven undefeated teams among the top-25 ranked programs.
The Chanticleers (8-2-2) enter the match with eight wins which are tied for the second-most wins among all top-25 ranked programs, with No. 1 Clemson's 12 wins as the only program with more.
The match is the final regular-season match scheduled to date and will be the last regular-season match for three seniors in
Claudio Repetto,
DZ Harmon, and
Tor Saunders who will be honored before the start of the match.
The Chants are the reigning Sun Belt Conference Champions and will be playing in the NCAA National Championship in April. This is one of several matches that will strengthen their resume heading into the national tournament as the Seahawks are one of several nationally-ranked programs on the 2020-21 schedule.
