CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team will travel stay in in the Palmetto state as the Chanticleers will travel to Greenville, S.C. on Saturday, April 3, to take on Southern Conference foe Furman. The opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
Coastal enters play this weekend at 7-4 on the season and 1-0 in Southern Conference play after splitting a pair of contests with San Diego State and UC Davis on Saturday and Monday, respectively.
Furman enters the contest on a two-game winning streak to improve to 5-3 overall as the Paladins play their first SoCon contest of the season.

The Chanticleers have eight players in double digits for points with
Samantha Courtemanche (27 goals, 18 assists, and 45 points) leading the team in goals, assists, and points. Redshirt freshman
Kayla Downey is second with 37 points on 22 goals and 15 assists while redshirt sophomore
Lauren Cremen is third with 21 goals for 21 points. True freshman
Monica Manley is fifth in goals scored with 13 while junior
Megan Bozzi (13 goals, four assists) has 17 points, graduate student
Abbey Buchanan (11 goals, five assists) has 16 points, and redshirt senior
Megan Busch has 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists.
Defensively, the Chants are led by redshirt freshman goalkeeper
Claire Martell who has allowed 108 goals while facing 194 shots on goal. She has tallied 86 saves for a .443 save percentage and has earned all seven wins on the season. The Verbank, N.Y. native has also caused seven turnovers and grabbed up 23 ground balls.
Graduate students
Anya McSorley and
Emily D'Orsaneo aide in the defensive third by causing 21 and 17 turnovers, respectively.
Sarah Trupp, a graduate transfer, has added 12 caused turnovers while scooping up 16 ground balls while D'Orsaneo and McSorley have 25 and 20 ground balls apiece.
ABOUT FURMAN
The Paladins are paced by Hannah Demis with 11 goals and 26 assists for 37 points while teammate Kyra LaMotte is second with 32 points on 29 goals and three assists. Along with the two team leaders, Furman has five more players with double digits for points as Hannah Dintino is third in points with 16 on 14 goals and two assists. Meagan Beal and Sydney McClure are tied for fourth with 15 points apiece as Beal has 15 goals and McClure has 10 goals and five assists while Lindsey Kelly and Lauren Farber have 11 and 10 points, respectively.
On the defensive third, Meghan Deehan has played all 480 minutes in goal while allowing 88 goals and making 60 saves for a .405 save percentage. The sophomore goalkeeper has caused one turnover while scooping up 18 ground balls.
Avery Whitehead leads the team with eight caused turnovers while Regan Lingo has added seven caused turnovers. Whitehead and Lingo also have 12 and 11 ground balls, respectively.
