CONWAY, S.C - Coming off a record-breaking regular season, the Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team begins its quest for an ASUN Conference title Friday when the No. 4 seed Chanticleers open the 2021 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship versus No. 5 Mercer. The first round match is set for 8 a.m. ET.
 
Coastal Carolina had its best regular season in program history, finishing 22-6 overall.The Chants closed the regular season winning four-straight matches at the UAB Blazer Beach Bash.
 
Coastal and Mercer faced each other four times in the regular season with Coastal winning all four matches.  

Again this year, the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship will be a double-elimination format.
 
The winner of Friday's first match between Coastal and Mercer will advance to face No. 1 Stetson on Friday at 2 p.m ET. 
 
The loser of Friday's first match will return to action at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday.
 
All 10 matches of the 2021 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
