No. 16 Men's Soccer on the Road at College of Charleston

CONWAY, S.C. – For the second time this season, the No. 16 Coastal Carolina University men's soccer program will play the College of Charleston when they travel to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. to face the Cougars Sunday, April 11 at 6 p.m. ET, at the Ralph Lundy Field at Patriot's Park.

The Chants (9-2-2) and Cougars (0-4-3) faced off back on March 7 in Conway with CCU pulling out a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

The Chanticleers are coming off an impressive 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten and ninth-ranked UNC Wilmington. The victory propelled the Chants up in all three national polls reaching as high as No. 12 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll and No. 15 in the College Soccer News poll. CCU moved up to No. 16 in the all-important United Soccer Coaches (USC) poll.

CCU leads the all-time series with the Cougars 19-9-4 and have won the last five contests, and eight of the past 10. The Chants hold a 7-3-2 record at home versus the Cougars but have an impressive 10-6-2 record when playing on the Cougars' home field. 2019 was the last time the two teams met at the College of Charleston's home field with CCU coming back to Conway with a 2-1 victory.

The Chants are the reigning Sun Belt Conference Champions and will be playing in the NCAA National Championship in April and are looking to strengthen their postseason rankings with this, the final regularly scheduled match of the season.
