CONWAY, S.C. – The (RV) Coastal Carolina men's soccer team looks to continue its Conference USA (C-USA) success as they kick off a four-game home stretch by welcoming Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to the CCU Soccer Stadium on Tuesday night. The kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers will take part in the
Go4TheGoal campaign to help raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. The Chants will be wearing gold laces during the match.
CCU enters Tuesday's match with an overall record of 2-1-3 and unbeaten in C-USA play at 1-0-3 while FAU enters 4-1-0 overall and has yet to play a conference match.
Coastal Carolina earned another point, for a league-leading six, in the C-USA standings on Saturday after playing to a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Old Dominion.
Michael Fowler notched his first goal of the season and the Chants' only goal of the match in the 15th minute when he connected on a pass from
Marcello Jones. ODU looked to answer in the 16th minute, but the attempt was saved by
Joey Batrouni.
ODU tied the match at 1-all, 14 minutes following the break, as the Monarchs' Eliot Goldthorp found the back of the net from nearly 40-yards out. The two teams battled the remainder of the match, but 90 minutes would not be enough.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
- FAU finished the 2020-21 season with an overall record of 6-4-2 and 3-4-0 in C-USA play, marking the first winning season for the program since 2007.
- The Owls welcome back 11 starters from the spring season, including All-Conference-USA performers Ivan Mykhailenko, Alonso Coello Camarero, Graeme Pratt, Daniel Skistad, and Vasillis Spinos. Notably, Coello Camarero and Mykhailenko were named to the 2021 C-USA Preseason Team.
- FAU tallied a 3-0-2 record in non-conference play, marking the best defensive start for the program in the first five matches since 1991, the Owls recorded four shutouts last season.
