CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina volleyball team will take to the road for four consecutive Sun Belt Conference road matchups, with the first stop being Norfolk, Va., to take on conference newcomer Old Dominion. Coastal will take on the Monarchs on Friday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. ET and again on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m. ET.

This two Sun Belt Conference matches this weekend will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
ABOUT COASTAL
The Chanticleers enter the matchup at 14-5 overall and 6-0 in Sun Belt play on the season after picking up a pair of wins over the Georgia Southern Eagles to remain unbeaten in conference action. Outside hitter
Ella Saada led the Chants' offense with a total of 31 kills combined over both contests, while setter
Brigitta Petrenko tallied 82 assists, 10 kills, and three service aces. Defensively, CCU blocked a combined 21 shots as
Christina Nance paced the defense with nine blocks, while
Lina Perugini (30), Petrenko (29), and Saada (25) combined for 84 digs of the Chants' 127 total digs.
This season, the Chants' offense has been led by
Paulina Perez Rosas with 181 kills on the year, while Saada and
Agata Lesiak have added 150 and 132 spikes, respectively. Petrenko is the team's assist and service ace leader, as the Eger, Hungary, native has 634 assists and 34 service aces in the first 19 matches this year. Petrenko's 34 service aces for the season, setting a new program record for career aces along the way.
Defensively, Coastal Carolina has totaled 170 blocks as a team, highlighted by Nance with a total of 59 blocks, Shepherd with 45 blocks, and Petrenko and Lesiak with 39 and 30 blocks, respectively. Perugini has picked up 313 digs in the 70 sets played, giving the Bethlehem, Pa., native 1,514 career digs. Perugini surpassed Katie Knutson (1999-02) and currently sits third on the all-time digs list.
ABOUT OLD DOMINION
Old Dominion will enter play this weekend with a 7-10 overall record and sit at 2-2 in SBC action. The Monarchs dropped a pair of matches to in-state foe James Madison last weekend, getting swept 3-0 in both contests.
As a team, ODU has recorded 712 kills, 648 assists, and 105 service aces on the offensive attack. Myah Conway leads the attack with 177 spikes, while Ashley Peroe (110), Tessa Mati (101), and Bailey Burgess (100) have put down 100 or more kills. Setter Teresa Atilano leads the team with 498 set assists, while Atilano (27), Jamie Bissmeyer (15), Burgess (14), and Ashlyn Belcher (10) have 66 of the Monarchs' 105 service aces.
Defensively, ODU has stopped 148.0 kill attempts while also digging 790 of their opponent's shots. The net is protected by Burgess (61), Conway (54), and Hailey Duncan (46), as they are the only Monarch blockers with 40 or more stops on the season. Defensive specialist Bissmeyer leads the team with 213 digs, along with Atilano, who has added 106 digs on the year.
