Men's Golf Opens Season at Lake Las Vegas

CCU will host a field of 15 teams
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina University men's golf team will tee-off the spring season at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate running Feb. 28-March 2, at the Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.
CCU will host the three-day event which consists of 54 holes, 18 holes each day. The Reflection Bay Golf Club is a par-72, 7,204 yards layout and is the first public course in Nevada designed by legendary Jack Nicklaus.
Fellow Sun Belt Conference members Little Rock, Arkansas State, Louisiana, and Georgia State are among the 15-team field. Also joining CCU in the tournament will be Kentucky, High Point, UAB, Oregon State, West Virginia, St. Mary's, Utah, Michigan, Kansas City, and Rocky Mountain College.
Head Coach Jim Garren will have an experienced Chanticleer team make the trip in Seth Taylor, Connor Newton, Garrett Cooper, Tyler Gray, Luke Nelson, and Trey Crenshaw.
"I am excited to get the Spring rolling this week in Vegas," Garren said. "It's a cool event we have created out there and developed a nice relation with Reflection Bay. The boys are hungry and they should be, the Fall was bad and no trying to hide that fact. They've been working hard and have some stuff to prove, so we are ready to tee it up."
