CONWAY, S.C. – In the first of three matches over the next four days, the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team fell at home to James Madison 4-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex in Conway, S.C.
 
In doubles play, the team of Victoire De Samucewicz and Jesse Hollins moved up to the top flight and tallied a victory for the Chanticleers, defeating Daria Afanasyeva and Michelle Los Arcos by a 6-4 margin.  In singles action, the Dukes were able to notch three victories in succession on courts one, three, and five to secure the overall match victory.
 
Anna Babayan was leading her match on court four by a 6-4, 5-4 tally when the contest was stopped.
 
The Chants (6-6) will have two more matches this weekend, both in Sun Belt play, as CCU will face Texas State on Friday, March 18, and UT Arlington on Sunday, March 20, respectively.  Both of those contests will begin at 10 a.m. ET.
