CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will hit the road this weekend for a two-match trek in Sun Belt Conference action, beginning on Friday, March 25, as the Chants face South Alabama at Noon ET, followed by an 11 a.m. ET clash with Troy on Saturday, March 26.
 
The Chants enter the weekend at 8-8 overall and 1-1 in Sun Belt Conference action.  The Jaguars are 10-6 (1-1 SBC), while the Trojans enter play with a 12-8 overall record (0-0 SBC).
 
In the series between CCU and South Alabama, the two sides have only played twice, with the latter winning in both instances.
 
The Chanticleers and Troy have clashed four times – dating back to April 21, 2017 – where the Trojans hold a 3-1 advantage.  The clubs have split the last two meetings.
 
Neil O'Connor and Daiki Tanabe have been playing well as of late for the Chants in singles play.  O'Connor has played five matches combined between the fifth and sixth singles positions going back to March 11, posting a victory in each of them.  Tanabe has also tallied three wins in a row, with two of those at the sixth position, including the clinching match in a 4-3 win over UT Arlington on March 20.
