CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team will host its second tournament of the spring season when the Sandy Chants welcome the No. 14 nationally-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks, College of Charleston Cougars, Mercer Bears, and UNCW Seahawks to Conway for the Carolina Challenge on April 8-9.
 
Coastal enters the weekend at 15-8 after participating in the Stetson Beach Bash on March 26-27.
 
The No. 18 Gamecocks enter the weekend at 13-8 overall. They hosted their own Carolina Challenge last weekend where they defeated Jacksonville (5-0), UAB (3-2), and UNCW (4-1) and went 3-1 overall.
 
The Cougars enter the weekend at 16-6 overall after hosting the CofC Beach Blast two weeks ago, posting a perfect 6-0 overall for their tournament.
 
The Bears are 4-17 overall this season after going 2-2 in a home tournament they hosted on March 26-27, while the Seahawks are 17-7 overall on the season after participating in the Carolina Challenge hosted by South Carolina where they picked up a win against Jacksonville on April 1.
