CONWAY, S.C. – On Saturday afternoon, the Coastal Carolina men's tennis team wrapped up their regular season schedule with a Sun Belt Conference showdown against Georgia Southern at the Stevens Tennis Complex.  In the end, the Chants claimed a 4-0 shutout win over the visiting Eagles.
 
In doubles action, the Chants took control early by picking up a pair of wins, as Niccolo Rossi and Bastien Huon cruised to a 6-1 victory on court two.  Federico Garnier and Daiki Tanabe notched a win by the same score on court three, which gave CCU an early 1-0 match lead.
 
During singles play, the men in teal maintained the momentum as Rossi rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 win on court five, followed by Tanabe's 6-2, 7-5 victory on court four, which built a 3-0 advantage for the Chants.
 
Diego Giraldo clinched the overall match victory for CCU with a strong 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph on court three.
 
Next up for Coastal Carolina (10-10, 3-3 SBC) is the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Championship Tournament in Peachtree City, Georgia, on Thursday, April 14.
