CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina women's track & field athlete
Nikki Boon has been named to the 2021-22 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team for District 4.
Boon, who hails from Dronten, Netherlands, completed her junior year with a 4.00-cumulative grade point average and is working on her undergraduate degree in Psychology.
During the 2022 outdoor track season, Boon set a new program record and personal best for the heptathlon at the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships by compiling 5,061 points, which earned her a third-place finish.
At the
Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, she and teammates
Amilia Wise-Sweat,
Meagan Moreno, and
Ashley Rulison finished third in the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 9:45.27, which ranks eighth in CCU history.
She also posted two more personal bests in the long jump event (5.53M) at the Tom Jones Invitational and the javelin throw (41.20M) at the Sun Belt Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The CoSIDA Academic All‐America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
