Coastal Carolina women’s lacrosse one of 98 DI schools to be named an Academic Honor Squad
NORTHBOROUGH, MA. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team was one of 98 Division I schools to be named an Academic Honor Squad for the 2022 season by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
The IWLCA named 398 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
In addition to the team honor, the Chanticleers had three players named to the ASUN All-Academic team for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Coastal Carolina is one of six teams from the ASUN to be named a 2022 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, and has earned the honor for eight seasons since 2013.
