LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Coastal Carolina softball team had 12 players recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as All-America Scholar Athletes on Monday afternoon. Student-athletes must have posted a grade point average of 3.50 or better during the 2021-22 academic year to be eligible.
The players include:
Kaitlin Beasley-Polko (3.833- Coastal Marine and Wetland Studies),
Kendall Bowman (3.567- Marketing)
, Iyanla De Jesus (3.903- Exercise and Sport Science),
Payton Ebersole (3.804- Digital Culture and Design),
Maddy Jennings (3.667- Exercise and Sport Science)
, Abbey Montoya (3.932- Biology)
, Da'Vidria Robinson (3.955- Early Childhood Education)
, Mady Volpe (3.859- Management).
In addition,
Nicolette Picone (Psychology)
, Keirstin Roose (Exercise and Sport Sciene)
, Jay Wrightsman (Chemistry), and
Riley Zana (Recreation Sport Management) received the award as they held 4.000 grade point averages.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories.
Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
