CONWAY, S.C. – Fresh off a 3-1 victory over in-state foe Furman, the Coastal Carolina men's soccer team (3-3-2, 0-0-1 SBC) returns to the CCU Soccer Stadium to host No. 3 nationally-ranked Marshall (5-1-1, 1-0-1 SBC) on Thursday night at the CCU Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET.
The Chanticleers and The Herd were originally scheduled to face off on Friday, Sept. 30, but due to impending heavy rainfall and the chance of unfavorable field conditions, both teams elected to move up the match.
COASTAL VS. MARSHALL
Thursday will mark just the third all-time meeting between Coastal Carolina and Marshall. CCU holds the advantage 1-0-1 overall.
The two programs first met on Sept. 20, 2002, which was a 4-1 Coastal victory. Most recently, the two faced off in a regular-season matchup last fall, playing to a 3-3 double overtime draw in Huntington, W.Va.

Alvaro Garcia-Pascual. Garcia-Pascual sent a quick touch back to Jones, who notched his second goal of the season off a rebounded shot in the 22nd minute. However, Furman leveled the score just three minutes later as the Paladins' Tommy Redhead converted a penalty kick to even the match a 1-1.
The Chanticleers answered in the 30th minute as
Danny Cabrera drove towards the net and sent a pass into
Noe Santos, who notched his second goal of the season to make the score 2-1 in favor of CCU. Garcia-Pascual notched his sixth goal of the season in the 67th minute, as the sophomore headed in a pass from teammate
