Chants to face 12 teams at the Hurricane Invitational
CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team is set for its final tournament of the fall season with the Hurricane Invitational and a trip to Coral Gables, Fla. looming on deck for Oct. 30-31.
This week's tournament field features Augusta, BYU, CCU, College of Charleston, Colorado, Colorado State, Florida International, Miami, UNLV, Oklahoma, South Florida and Texas State.
Last week, the Lady Chants traveled to Savannah, Ga. for The Southern, hosted by Georgia Southern. Coastal finished third among 11 participating schools, shooting a team 902 across 54 holes of play.
Graduate Hannah Karg led the Chants on the individual leaderboard, finishing with a share of first and the tournament title with Georgia Southern's Louise Reau at +3 (219).
CCU will send five representatives to Miami this week, including Karg, Luisa Gibson, Sara Sarrion, Isabella Spinazze and Varatkarn Kunkaew.
The Hurricane Invitational from Coral Gables, Fla. will open tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET.
