Karg tied for sixth after two rounds

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team sits in sixth place at the Hurricane Invitational at 5-under 571 (284-287) after the first two rounds at the Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Fla., on Monday.

Hannah Karg, coming off an individual title at The Southern last week, continues to standout on the golf course after shooting a six-under 138 (69-69) over Monday's two rounds and is tied for sixth heading into Tuesday's final round. She has eight birdies and only two bogeys over the opening 36 holes.

Luisa Gibson is tied for 25th with an even-par 144 (68-76), while Sara Sarrion is tied for 34th after carding a two-over 146 (77-69).

Varatkarn Kunkaew is tied for 37th with a three-over 147 (74-73), and Isabella Spinazze is tied for 55th at seven-over 151 (73-78).

Host Miami leads the event with a 20-under 556 (278-278), seven strokes in front of Oklahoma's 13-under 563 (275-288), while South Florida is third with its 10-under 566 (283-283). Texas State is fourth at seven-under 569 (282-287) and Augusta rounds out the top-five at six-under 570 (288-282).

While the Chants are just one-shot out of the top-five, they are three strokes in front of the College of Charleston's two-under 574 (285-289). Colorado is eighth at five-over 581 (288-293) and Colorado State is ninth at six-over 582 (292-290). FIU is 10th at nine-over 585 (293-292), followed by BYU (+10, 586), and UNLV (+18, 594).

Tuesday's final round is scheduled to begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. ET.
