CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's basketball team will return to Conway, S.C., for a home matchup with in-state foe College of Charleston on Saturday, Dec. 2. The opening tip is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at the HTC Center and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Chanticleers fell to the UNCG Spartans 65-59 on the road. Coastal's
Makaila Cange led the Chants offense with 17 points, while
Deaja Richardson and
Arin Freeman were the only other Chants in double digit scoring with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Freeman was the top rebounder having grabbed six boards.
HISTORY BETWEEN COASTAL AND COLLEGE of CHARLESTON
Coastal Carolina trails in the all-time series 14-34 that dates back to 1974-75. With a win on Saturday, the Chanticleers would snap a two-game skid in the series, as CCU fell a 85-81 on the road in the last meeting on Dec. 2, 2022.

Coastal Carolina enters the weekend 4-3 on the year. The Chants are averaging 65.1 points per game while shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point range. Defensively, Coastal has allowed 69.7 points per game, while opponents have a 43.3 shooting percentage from the floor and 36.7 percentage from behind the three-point arc. The Chanticleers have outrebounded their opponents 278-259.
Coastal is paced by
Deaja Richardson and Cange who average 15.8 and 13.3 points per game, respectively, while Freeman (10.4) is averaging just over 10 points per contest. Ramsey has averaged 6.9 points per contest and leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game. Cange has grabbed 43 boards for a 6.1 rebounds per game average.
ABOUT COLLEGE of CHARLESTON
The Cougars enter the weekend with a 4-1 overall record. Charleston is averaging 89.8 points per contest while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and 28.5 percent from three-point range. As a team, CofC has won the rebound battle 227-194. Defensively, the Cougars have allowed just 58.6 points per contest and its opponents to shoot 34.4 percent from the field and just 25.8 percent from behind the arch.
Alexis Andrews, Jada Logan, Jenna Annecchiarico, Taryn Barbot, and Lara Rohkohl are the only Cougars in double digit scoring with 18.2, 16.0, 13.8, 12.0 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. Charleston's top rebounder is Rohkohl with 8.0 boards per game while Logan has grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game.
