CONWAY, S.C. – For the first time in a week, the Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will return to the courts for competition on Wednesday, Feb. 22, as the Chanticleers will host regional foe Campbell at 1 p.m. ET.
Coastal is 5-1 overall on the season and is coming off a 4-3 road win at the College of Charleston on Feb. 15. The Chants are a perfect 5-0 versus teams from the Palmetto State, but their lone loss came to a school from North Carolina in UNCW on Feb. 7.
The Campbell Fighting Camels enter the match at 4-3 overall, coincidently coming off a 6-1 road win at the College of Charleston on Saturday, Feb. 18.
So far this season, doubles play has been a strength for the Chants, as Coastal is 12-1 overall in doubles play with two pairs in
Steve Mundt and
Carlos Berna Ruiz and
Ryuya Ata and
Maj Tomac both 4-0 overall on the year.
In singles play, five Chants enter the contest this week having won their last bout, including Berna Ruiz (3-2),
Guilherme Toresan (4-1),
Lucas Wayenburg (3-3),
Neil O'Connor (1-0), and
Rivers Cahill (1-0).
