CONWAY, S.C – Former Coastal Carolina women's soccer standout Daniella Famili has signed a contract to play professionally for the AIK Football Dam in Sweden's first division.
 
The Coastal alumna most recently played with Elitettan, the second-highest division in Sweden, in 2021 and 2022, and for the IF Brommapojkarna in 2019 after her time at CCU. She also represented AIK during the 2012 season.
 
Familia was a two-time United Soccer Coaches/NSCAA All-Region selection (2016 and 2017) and a three-time all-conference selection, earning first-team All-Big South honors in 2015, first-team All-Sun Belt accolades in 2016, and second-team All-Sun Belt recognition in 2017. She was also named to the Big South All-Freshman team in 2014 and was twice named to the conference championship all-tournament team.
 
She ranks in the top 10 in CCU's career record books in matches played (79), matches started (78), goals scored (31), assists (13), and points (75). She also totaled five game-winning goals in 2017 and four in 2016.
