CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team will return to the courts on Tuesday, Feb. 7, to take on UNCW in a match that was originally scheduled for last Saturday.
First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET.
The Chanticleers are 4-0 this season and are coming off a 6-1 home win over Francis Marion last Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The UNCW Seahawks are 1-1 on the season having defeated Presbyterian 4-3 on Jan. 29.
CCU's squad is undefeated in doubles play this season, led by the tandem of
Carlos Berna Ruiz and
Steve Mundt who are 3-0 at the No. 1 doubles flight, while the teams of
Lucas Wayenburg and
Neil O'Connor and
Ryuya Ata and
Maj Tomac are both 2-0 on the year.
In singles action,
Guilherme Toresan is 3-0 overall, having won one match at the No. 3, 4, and 5 spots this season, while three other Chants in Ata, Mundt, and Tomac are 3-1 on the year.
Both Toresan and Tomac are riding three-match winning streaks into play on Tuesday afternoon, as both recorded straight-set wins last time out versus Francis Marion.
