CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team will return to action in Charleston, S.C., to compete in the CofC Classic hosted by the College of Charleston on Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12.
Coastal Carolina enters the weekend at 6-5 overall on the season after competing in the Georgia State Day of Duals on Wednesday in Atlanta, Ga.
Also competing in the two-day tournament is Catawba (5-2), Berry College (6-5), Eastern Kentucky (6-2), and host College of Charleston (4-5).
NATIONAL RANKING
After being nationally-ranked for the first time in program history, the Sandy Chants remained in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Collegiate Beach Coaches Top 20 Poll at No. 20 this week.
COASTAL & COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON HISTORY
The two teams will face off for the 11th time, as the Sandy Chants trail in the all-time series 4-6. The Chanticleers snapped a two-match skid with a 5-0 sweep earlier this month at the DUUUVAL Duals.
COASTAL & BERRY COLLEGE HISTORY
Coastal and Berry College will meet for the first time at the CofC Classic.
COASTAL & EASTERN KENTUCKY HISTORY
The Sandy Chants lead the all-time series 2-0, with CCU defeating the Colonels 3-2 at the CofC Classic in the 2022 season.
COASTAL & CATAWBA HISTORY
Coastal Carolina is 2-0 versus the Catawba Chiefs all-time, as the series between the two programs began in February 2020.
