Women’s Tennis Returns Home to Host Louisiana and Texas State

Chanticleers have won 10-straight matches
CONWAY, S.C. – With a 2-0 record in Sun Belt Conference play, the Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will return home to host two conference contests versus Louisiana (March 25) and Texas State (March 26) at the Stevens Tennis Complex. Both matches are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. ET.
Coastal enters the weekend of play at 10-4 overall and riding a 10-match winning streak, which includes conference wins over Georgia Southern (March 11) and Georgia State (March 18).
Over the 10-match win streak, CCU's Megan Hopton and Jesse Hollins have each won eight-straight matches in singles play, while two other Chants in Anna Babayan and Isabella Weatherhead have won each of their last three single bouts.
In doubles play, the Chants' top pair of Hopton and Babayan are 12-2 on the season overall and have won 10 consecutive matches, while the duo of Hollins and Victoire De Samucewicz have won seven-straight matches and is 2-0 in conference play.
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are 6-5 overall on the season and 1-2 in conference play having defeated ULM 5-2 last time out on March 18.
The Cajuns are 1-2 in road matches this season but enter Saturday's contest at Coastal having won two-straight and six of their last nine matches.
Texas State enters the weekend at 4-8 overall and 0-3 in Sun Belt play. The Bobcats will play at Georgia Southern on Saturday, March 25, before taking on the Chanticleers on Sunday.
