CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team (25-9) has been having an excellent season and has already equaled its win count from 2022. The performances from the Chants have earned the team and three players a spot in the NCAA softball statistical rankings.
CCU has been very effective on offense and has posted a .314 batting average and a .396 on-base percentage, which ranks 27th and 29th overall, respectively, in the NCAA. The Chants have also used the long ball to their advantage and rank 15th in the nation with 1.29 home runs per game.
Diamond Williams has been a key player in Coastal's offensive lineup and has recorded nine home runs on the season, which ranks her 27th in the nation. The transfer senior has also driven in 34 RBIs, which ranks her 21st in the NCAA rankings.
The Chanticleers are not just excelling on the field but in the circle as well and have posted a 2.08 ERA which places them 30th in the NCAA overall.

Raelee Brabham has been a force to reckon with, recording 129 strikeouts on the year which ranks 13th in the nation, while her 10.8 strikeouts per seven innings rank 11th. Sophomore
Nicolette Picone continues to hold strong in relief and remains in the number two spot with six saves on the year.
The Chanticleers will be back in action at St. John Stadium this weekend where they will face Georgia Southern, March 31 - April 2.
