CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's lacrosse team returns to ASUN Conference play, as the Chanticleers will travel to St. Charles, Mo., to open the final road swing of the regular season versus league newcomer the Lindenwood Lions.
Coastal enters the contest at 9-4 overall and 2-1 in conference action coming on the heels of the program's first-ever win over the Vanderbilt Commodores at 17-13 last Wednesday.
The Lions enter play at 6-7 on the year and 1-2 in ASUN play, after falling 26-6 to the Jacksonville Dolphins in their last outing.

The Chanticleers and Lindenwood will be meeting for the first time on Sunday.

The CCU offense is paced by
Kayla Downey (43 goals, 28 assists) with 71 points, while
Avery McIlwaine (29 goals, 14 assists) ranks second with 43 points. Fellow Chants
Sydney McClure (13 goals, 13 assists) and
Avery Snyder (7 goals, 17 assists) are close behind with 26 and 24 points each. The offense has been ignited by
Devin Rybacki and McIlwaine, as the duo has won 43 and 36 draw controls each.
Defensively, the Chants are anchored by their starting goalkeeper
Claire Martell, who has started all 13 contests. The redshirt junior goalie has stopped 84 shots and allowed 100 goals in just over 548 minutes in the cage on the season.
Gabrielle Beckett has forced 11 turnovers, while Martell has grabbed 28 groundballs to help return possession back to the offense.

Lindenwood is led by Logann Eldredge (45 goals, 7 assists), Isabella Rulapaugh (19 goals, 13 assists), and Emma Arnold (24 goals, 4 assists) with 52, 32, and 28 points, respectively. Sara Grieco (12 goals, 9 assists), Elisabeth Ralph (12 goals, 8 assists), Sam Irwin (12 goals, 4 assists), and Lexy Biller (9 goals, 2 assists) have also all tallied double-digit points on the year. Biller often gets the offense started by winning a team-high 88 draw controls for the Lions.
Defensively, Eleanor Kast has started 12 of 13 games in goal, while making 85 saves and allowing 133 goals. Kelsey Long and Arnold lead Lindenwood with 14 and nine caused turnovers each, while Long has scooped up a team-high 20 groundballs.
