CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team is set to open Sun Belt Conference play at home versus the Old Dominion Monarchs on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. ET.
 
Chant Talk

• The Chants are 3-4 on the season.
• This is the first Sun Belt Conference opening match for both teams.
• Freshman Emily Petring leads the team with three goals and one assist while placing tied second in the Sun Belt with two game-winning goals.

Scouting the Opponent

• ODU is undefeated on the season, posting a 5-0-2 record.
• All five of ODU's wins have been shutouts.
• The Monarchs' two ties came against Virginia Tech (Aug. 31) and William & Mary (Sept.3).
• Thalia Morisi tops the team and places tied for fourth in the Sun Belt with three goals.
• Emily Bredek has made 19 saves in goals and has kept five clean sheets on the season.

• CCU has a 1-2 record versus the Monarchs.
• Coastal has lost the last two matches, suffering a 4-0 shutout loss last time out in October 2022.
