Men’s Soccer Hosts UNCG in Midweek Match

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will host the UNC Greensboro Spartans at the CCU Soccer Stadium on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.

Chant Talk

CCU is 2-3-1, 0-0-1 Sun Belt on the year.
The Chants will be looking to snap its three-match non-scoring streak.
Coastal has been outscored 8-3 and all of its goals have come in the first half.
Captain Luc Mikula has been an anchor on the defensive line playing the full 90 minutes in five of Coastal's six matches.
After a one-match break, Kilian Vallant returned to goal and kept his second clean sheet of the year versus Georgia State on Friday.

CCU tied 0-0 with the Georgia Southern Eagles in its Sun Belt Conference opener on Friday night in Statesboro, Ga.
The Chants outshot the Eagles 8-7 with the Eagles leading 4-2 in shots on goal and 4-3 in corner kicks.
Asgeir Magnusson, Lincoln Ulrich, and Anton Bjarkason each played the full 90 minutes for the first time while wearing the Teal and Bronze.
Eythor Kjartansson and Christian Cook were the only Coastal players to take a shot on goal in the match.
Coastal keeper Vallant made four saves off seven shot attempts.

CCU has a 9-12-1 all-time record versus UNC Greensboro
They first faced each other back in October 1984 and the Chants took a 9-0 shutout win.
Coastal has a 4-6-0 record in its last 10 matchups with the Spartans.
The Chants are 7-4-0 at the CCU Soccer Stadium and have outscored the Spartans 36-31.
Coastal suffered a 5-1 loss last time out but Noe Santos recorded an assist on CCU's lone goal.

Scouting the Opponent

UNCG has a 1-4-2 record on the season.
Their lone win came against the Charlotte 49ers on Sept. 9
The Spartans have played two ranked opponents in No. 14 Maryland and No.13 Louisville but failed to pick up a single goal in either match.
