Chants face a challenging field to begin the season

CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will open the 2023-24 season at the Lady Paladin Invitational Sept. 22-24 at the Furman University Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.

The Chants will face a highly competitive 16-team field, which features host Furman, Augusta, Charlotte, Daytona State, East Carolina, Memphis, Nevada, UNCW, North Florida, Tulane, Western Kentucky, and Xavier. The field also includes fellow Sun Belt Conference members Georgia State, James Madison, and Old Dominion.

The Chants picked up an eighth-place finish at last year's event after carding a 35-over 899 (300-296-303).

Head coach Katie Quinney has set a lineup that includes Sara Sarrion, Luisa Gibson, Hannah Karg, Varatkarn Kundaew, and Isabella Galla at this weekend's event. Isabella Spinazze will also make the trip and play as an individual.

The three-day, 54-hole event is scheduled for a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, and a 9:00 a.m. start for Sunday. The event will consist of 18 holes of action on each day.
