Men’s Soccer to Host No.12 JMU

CONWAY, S.C. –  The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team will face its first ranked opponent of the season in No.12 James Madison at the CCU Soccer Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

  • The Chants leveled the score in the 64th minute when Armstrong fed the ball to Kari Sigfusson, and he slotted the ball to Hainer, who chipped the ball over the UNCG keeper's head to make the score 1-1.
  • Armstrong scored Coastal's second goal of the night in the 87th minute but it was overturned due to a CCU foul that was committed just moments before.
  • The Chants were outshot 14-6 and the Spartans led 9-4 in corner kicks.
History Against
  • The Chants have a 0-0-1 record versus the Dukes.
  • Last time out in October 2022, CCU fell to JMU 1-0.
