CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team returns home from a road trip to Wilmington, N.C. to face the South Carolina State Bulldogs tomorrow at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
In their previous match, the Chants visited the Seahawks of UNC Wilmington, losing 6-1 and dropping their overall record to 1-2 on the season. Seniors Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg continued their recent hot streak in doubles play, bumping their season win tally to three after defeating UNCW's Drew Broadstreet and Trey Mallory 6-4. Wayenburg also added the lone singles win on the day for Coastal, besting Mallory for a second time by a score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
CCU enters their subsequent match against South Carolina State 1-2 thus far, whereas the Bulldogs come in 0-2 on the season, previously losing to both Georgia State and North Florida 5-2.
CCU vs. South Carolina State is set for a 1 P.M. ET start time, opening with doubles play.
