CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team is gearing up for a weekend of conference competition as the Chanticleers travel to Huntsville, Ala., for the Sun Belt Mid-Year Tournament on Mar. 22-23. The Chants will be pitted against Stephen F. Austin and ULM on Friday before battling Mercer and Southern Miss on Saturday.
MAINTAINING MOMENTUM
The Sandy Chants are coming off one of the most dominant weekends in program history. At the Coastal Carolina Invitational last weekend, CCU went 4-0 with four 5-0 sweeps while winning a program-record 30 consecutive sets. The weekend also marked the first time Coastal had ever won four matches 5-0 in a span of just two days.
SWEET SIXTEEN
Coastal Carolina has now won at least 10 of its first 16 matches in each of the last six seasons, including the pandemic-shortened 2020 season that saw the Chants win 10 of their first 12 contests.

The two teams will be meeting for the first time.
COASTAL & ULM HISTORY
Coastal Carolina has won both meetings against ULM. The Chanticleers won a 4-1 decision against the Warhawks in the last meeting in 2021.
COASTAL & MERCER HISTORY
CCU is facing Mercer for the 18th time in program history. The Chants own an 11-6 lead in the series and have won 11 straight matches against the Bears, including two victories in 2023.
COASTAL & SOUTHERN MISS HISTORY
The Sandy Chants have won all five meetings with the Golden Eagles, including two wins in the Sun Belt Championship Tournament last season.
