CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina enters the 2024 Hercules Tires Sun Belt Women's Basketball Championship as the No. 11 seed and will face No. 14 seed South Alabama in first-round action on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast live from the Pensacola Bay Center on ESPN+ with Noah Frary (play-by-play) and Kelley Deyo (analyst) on the call.

Makaila Cange had 16. Freeman also dished out 10 assists for a double-double, scoring or assisting on 17 of Coastal's 24 baskets.
HISTORY BETWEEN COASTAL AND SOUTH ALABAMA
Coastal Carolina and South Alabama are meeting for the 15th time. Coastal currently trails the overall series 6-8, but has won the last two meetings.
ABOUT COASTAL
The Chanticleers enter the postseason with an 11-20 overall record and a 5-13 record in Sun Belt play. The Chants rank ninth nationally and lead the Sun Belt Conference with 22.7 free-throw attempts per game. Coastal also averages 14.7 made free throws and 3.7 blocks per game, ranking second in the conference in both categories. The Chanticleers are averaging 14.2 offensive rebounds per contest.
Riley Stack leads the league with 59 total blocks and 1.90 blocks per game, ranking 24th in the nation in total blocks. Cange ranks second in the Sun Belt with 249 rebounds this season, averaging 8.0 rebounds per game to go along with her 13.2 points per contest.

South Alabama is 9-22 overall and owns a 2-16 record in league play. The Jaguars are holding opponents to just 29.0 percent shooting from three-point range, but average 19.4 turnovers per game.
Jordan Rosier leads the conference with 2.6 made three-pointers per game, ranking 17th nationally with 80 made threes this season. Kelsey Thompson averages a team-high 12.0 points per game, while Zena Elias enters the game with 7.5 rebounds per contest.
