The event was moved up to start on Friday
CONWAY – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team will be back in action when it travels to Augusta, Ga., for The Valspar scheduled for March 8-10 at the par-72, 6,261-yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
The event was originally scheduled for March 9-10, but has been moved up to start Friday, March 8, due to weather conditions set to enter Georgia over the weekend.
After opening the spring schedule with a third-place finish at the Sea Best Invitational and a runner-up finish at the Rivertowne Invitational, the Chants will face its toughest competition of the spring in the 17-team field.
Joining CCU and host Augusta in the field will be Wake Forest, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, South Florida, Oklahoma State, Furman, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Michigan, and Georgia State.
Head coach Katie Quinney has a lineup that includes Hannah Karg, Varatkarn Kunkaew, Sara Sarrion, Luisa Gibson and Isabella Galla.
The three-day, 54-hole event is scheduled to tee off with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. ET Friday morning.
