CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team opened play at the College of Charleston Beach with a pair of wins on Friday to extend its record winning streak to 15 consecutive matches. The Chanticleers defeated EKU 4-1 and topped North Florida 3-2. 

Coastal Carolina moves to 20-6 on the season.
 
Match 1: Coastal Carolina 4, EKU 1
 
Coastal scored the first four points of the match as Denisse Morgenstern and Madie Lichty opened play with a 21-14, 21-18 win on court four. Madison Allred and Raychel Ehlers followed with their 14th consecutive win as a pair, extending their program-record streak with a 15-21, 21-10, 15-9 comeback at the No. 5 flight. 

Ellie Hanford and Emma Kunaus secured the match with a 21-12, 21-15 win on court three before Julia Blazek and Emma Plutnicki wrapped up the scoring for the Chants with a 21-18, 21-17 victory at the No. 2 flight.
 
Match 2: Coastal Carolina 3, North Florida 2
 
Coastal rallied from an early 1-0 deficit as Blazek and Plutnicki rallied for a 14-21, 22-20, 15-13 win on court two to even the match. Allred and Ehlers followed with their 15th consecutive win on court five to give the Chants a 2-1 lead. 

Hanford and Kunaus clinched the match at the No. 3 flight, battling to a 21-18, 21-18 decision.

The Sandy Chants face UNCW at 1:00 p.m. and College of Charleston at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
