HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team suffered its first loss of the Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championship in a 3-2 defeat against No. 15-ranked and top-seeded Georgia State on Friday at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex.
With the loss, Coastal drops to 26-9 overall on the season

Coastal erased an early deficit when
Ellie Hanford and
Emma Kunaus secured a 25-23, 21-15 win on court three, giving the Chants their first point ever over the Panthers in the postseason.
With the score tied at 1-1, the match came down to a trio of third sets. GSU claimed wins on courts one and four before
Madison Allred and
Raychel Ehlers notched a 20-22, 21-14, 21-15 comeback win to make the final score 3-2.
The Sandy Chants will play an elimination match on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against either No. 2-seeded UNCW or No. 7-seeded ULM. The winner will move on to face Georgia State in the championship match at 2:00 p.m.
