Men's Tennis Hosts James Madison and Old Dominion

CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team (6-10, 1-3 SBC) hosts James Madison (7-11, 0-6 SBC) tomorrow afternoon and No. 50 Old Dominion (15-5, 5-1 SBC) on Sunday at the Stevens Tennis Complex in the final home series of the 2024 spring season.

The Chants are coming off a split against Georgia State and Georgia Southern in last weekend's Sun Belt double feature at home. Coastal cruised past Georgia State in a 4-1 win over the Panthers, a match in which seniors Carlos Berna Ruiz and Maj Tomac each went 2-0 across singles and doubles. Against Georgia Southern, CCU took the first-placed Eagles to the wire in a narrow 4-3 loss. The Chants will look to get back in the win column against a JMU team who currently sits at the bottom of the Sun Belt Conference standings.

James Madison enters the weekend at 7-11, 0-6 in conference play, this season. The Dukes' most recent result came in a 5-2 loss to Louisiana on their home courts. The Chants will feature as JMU's penultimate match prior to the start of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Rome, Ga. on Apr. 18.

Old Dominion, currently sitting in second in the conference standings behind Georgia Southern, travels to Conway on the back of six wins in their last seven outings. The Monarchs' latest results are a pair of 7-0 sweeps against No. 74 Louisiana and Southern Miss.

CCU vs. James Madison will start at noon ET tomorrow, and CCU vs. Old Dominion is set for a 10 A.M. ET start on Sunday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
