Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss to UCF on Friday night in Orlando, Fla.
- With the loss, Coastal falls to 3-9-0 overall and 2-6-0 in Sun Belt play.
- The Knights took the lead in the 18th minute when Clarence Awoudor smashed a shot into the top-left corner off an assist from Malick Thiaw to make it 1-0.
- UCF doubled its advantage in the 30th minute as Claudel N'goubou found the bottom-right corner to extend the lead to 2-0.
- At halftime, Coastal trailed 11-2 in shots and 4-1 in corner kicks.
- In the 63rd minute, Nate Kovalcik scored his first goal as a Chanticleer, finishing a pass from Christian Cook to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- The Knights sealed the victory in the 73rd minute when Awoudor recorded his second goal of the match to make it 3-1.
- At full time, UCF held a 20-6 advantage in shots, while Coastal led 9-0 in saves.
The Chanticleers will return to Conway for their final match of the regular season against James Madison on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. ET.
