Conway, S.C. — Coastal Carolina University men's soccer has announced the hiring of Nick Melville and Will Lukowski as assistant coaches under newly appointed head coach Adam Perron.
Melville joins the Chanticleers after spending several seasons with the James Madison University men's soccer program. He began his tenure at JMU as a volunteer coach before being elevated to a full-time assistant in 2019. In that role, he supported the Dukes in goalkeeper development, performance analysis, and tactical preparation, contributing to multiple strong defensive and attacking campaigns.
Melville previously played at Iowa Western Community College, where he helped lead the program to an undefeated season and a national championship, before transferring to the University of Cincinnati, where he became a regular starter. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Cincinnati and an MBA from James Madison University.
Lukowski arrives at Coastal Carolina after serving as an assistant coach at Colorado Mesa University, where he worked extensively in team training, goalkeeper development, and recruiting. Prior to his time at CMU, he held coaching roles at Wofford College, the University of South Carolina, Missouri State University, and the University of the Cumberlands. His experience spans multiple levels of collegiate soccer and includes contributing to Missouri State's conference coaching honors and postseason success.
A former goalkeeper, Lukowski played collegiately at Wright State University and earned a degree in organizational leadership. He brings a strong background in technical instruction, defensive organization, and goalkeeper development.
Head coach Adam Perron said the additions of Melville and Lukowski will have an immediate and meaningful impact on the program.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Nick and Will to the Coastal men's soccer family," Perron said. "They are major additions to our staff and will bring immense value to every facet of the program. Both are tireless workers, versatile coaches, and true transformational leaders — the exact qualities I was seeking in assistant coaches. Their extensive Division I experience will serve our players incredibly well, and I know our team will enjoy working with them. I can't wait to welcome them and their families to Teal Nation as we begin our journey to the top of the Sun Belt."
Perron was named the fifth head coach in program history on Nov. 11, 2025.
