CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team (4-4) is back on the road this weekend to compete in the Sun Devil Classic, hosted by Arizona State on March 7-8. The Chanticleers will face Arizona and Arizona State on Friday before taking on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Cal Poly on Saturday.

National Recognition

• The Chants will face two ranked opponents this weekend in No. 6 Cal Poly and No. 10 Arizona State.
• Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Arizona each received votes in the Week 2 AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll.

Weekend Opponents

• This will be the first-ever matchup between the Sandy Chants and the Arizona Wildcats. Arizona enters with a 2-4 overall record and is coming off a three-game losing streak.
• Coastal Carolina will compete against Arizona State for the first time in program history. ASU, currently on a four-game win streak, holds a 5-5 overall record.
• Texas A&M-Corpus Christi owns a 5-3 record this season. The Islanders faced the Chants for the first time in program history last weekend, earning a 4-1 victory.
• CCU has a 1-0 record against Cal Poly after defeating the Mustangs 3-2 in February 2023. Cal Poly enters the competition with a 2-2 record.
