Women’s Golf Ready for 2025 Sun Belt Championship

CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team will be making the trip to Point Clear, Ala., for the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship, scheduled for April 15-18 at the Lakewood Golf Club.
The Chants are looking for their third Sun Belt title (2018, 2021) since joining the conference in 2016. Coastal closed out the regular season with a win in the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge from March 31-April 2.
This marks the second year the Sun Belt Women's Golf Championship will be held at The Lakewood Golf Club's Dogwood Course. The 54-hole tournament features three rounds of stroke play on the par-72, 6,106-yard course. All four rounds of the championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with live results on Scoreboard.
The championship will begin with three rounds of stroke play, April 14-16 at 8 a.m. CT each day in a split-tee format with six teams teeing off on No. 1 and seven teams starting at No. 10.
Following 54 holes of stroke play, top four teams will advance to match play on Thursday, April 17 with the No. 1 and No. 4 seed beginning at hole No. 1 and the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds teeing off at hole No. 10 at 7:30 am. The championship match will follow the conclusion of the semifinal matches.
The Chanticleer lineup will include senior Sara Sarrion (73.4 scoring average), freshman Ella Murray (75.3 scoring average), freshman Aoife Devaney (75.4 scoring average), sophomore Varatkarn Kunkaew (75.0 scoring average), and senior Carolina Hortian (77.7 scoring average).
