COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball won both matches on Friday over Jacksonville (4-1) and Georgia State (3-2) in the first day of the Palmetto Invitational in Columbia, S.C. With the victory over Georgia State, the Chants claimed the Sun Belt Conference Regular Season title, finishing with a perfect 6-0 record. Coastal now holds a 19-11 overall record on the season.
The Chants will take the No. 1 seed in the Sun Belt tournament in Foley, A.L. next week.
By winning her match in the victory over Jacksonville, Chanticleer senior Raychel Ehlers collected her 94th career individual victory, passing Ellie Hanford (2021-2024) as the program's all-time winningest player.
