BREMERTON, Wash. - The Coastal Carolina men's golf team opened play at the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf regional championship Monday with a first round tally of 23-over par 311 at the Gold Mountain Golf Club.
The Chanticleers stand 14th overall with two rounds remaining—the top five teams at the regional advance to the national championship finals in Carlsbad, Calif.

Max Bengtsson carded a 6-over 78, and senior
Trace McDonald fired 7-over 77. Sophomore
Jack Lee finished at 9-over 81.
Florida sits in first place and owns a four-stroke lead over second-place Utah. The Gators shot 9-under, with the Utes carding a 5-under. South Florida is in third place at 1-over, with Colorado and Kansas State tied for fourth at 2-over.
Florida's Luke Poulter and Kansas State's Cooper Schultz are tied for the individual lead at 4-over with a foursome of players tied at 3-under in third place.
The second round will begin Tuesday, May 13, at 11 a.m. EDT with the Chanticleers teeing off at 12:50 p.m.
