Teal Nation,
Â
What a weekend for the Chants! My family and I had so much fun celebrating our baseball team's NCAA Super Regional Championship in Auburn and know that those watching on TV could hear our fans cheering on our guys loudly from the stands. I also know that all of you at home experienced the joy of watching our guys dogpile on the field and hoist that trophy.Â
Â
While we all celebrated this weekend's victory, there was also a defining moment in college athletics history. On Friday evening, the NCAA House Settlement was approved. It now fundamentally changes how we operate, how we support our athletes and how we invest in the future of our teams.
Â
The great thing is, at Coastal, we have been preparing for this day and are committed to competing — and winning — in this new era.Â
Â
From unforgettable runs to Omaha, to Holiday bowl victories, to hosting College Game Day, our story is one of rising to the occasion, punching above our weight class, and winning championships. But to continue writing those chapters, we need the support of our fans, donors, and all of Teal Nation more than ever.
Â
The House settlement introduces two significant changes that we plan to implement, additional scholarships and revenue sharing. Certain Coastal Carolina sports will have expanded scholarship opportunities, enabling greater opportunities for our student-athletes. Additionally, we can now share revenue directly with student-athletes. We will prioritize this initiative through reallocated spending and new revenue streams from events, concerts, New Apparel Lines, and most important—PHILANTHROPIC DONATIONS.Â
Â
I want to thank the Coastal Collective and Legacy 14 for laying the foundation and working tirelessly to provide meaningful NIL opportunities for our athletes. As we move forward, we will continue to build on their efforts by bringing these operations in-house under the Chanticleer Athletic Foundation.
Â
As we venture into this new world, I know that each of you will help propel us to new heights. And I can't think of a better time for Teal Nation to launch us into this new era than by donating to our program as we go to Omaha to win another National Championship.Â
Â
I ask each of you, if you can, donate to CAF by visiting this link, and help us continue to build national championship teams at Coastal.Â
Â
Donate today. Omaha is just the beginning. Â
