NEW ORLEANS. – The Coastal Carolina men's soccer team was picked to finish 10th in the 2025 Sun Belt preseason coaches' poll, the league office announced on Wednesday.
NCAA College Cup finalist Marshall was selected to finish first earning 97 points and eight first-place votes, while reigning Sun Belt tournament champions West Virginia followed closely in second with 92 points and two first-place votes.
UCF claimed the third spot with 74 points, and Kentucky placed fourth with 67 points. South Carolina took fifth with 65 points, followed by James Madison in sixth with 48 points.
Old Dominion was selected seventh with 36 points, finishing ahead of Georgia Southern (30 points) and Georgia State (24 points). Coastal Carolina rounded out the poll in 10th place with 17 points.
The Chanticleers will open the regular season on Aug. 21, facing Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C., with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
